What about the $297 Basic Drug & Alcohol Assessment?

The Basic option is a limited-scope, telehealth-only assessment designed for qualifying first-time Colorado driving offenses and certain Colorado DMV matters. Court and probation referrals generally begin with the Standard Substance Use Evaluation because they often require more detailed written documentation and clinical review. The requesting party's written requirements control the appropriate scope.

Complex Legal Matters

Attorney involvement alone does not automatically make a case complex.

Complex legal matter substance use evaluation documentation in Colorado

A Complex Legal Matter Evaluation may be more appropriate when the referral involves extensive or conflicting records, multiple parties, ongoing monitoring, repeated concerns, collateral information, substantial attorney involvement, or broader legal complexity that materially expands the clinical work.

This evaluation remains a clinical substance use service. Colorado Assessments does not present this work as a CFI, PRE, child-custody evaluation, psychological or neuropsychological evaluation, competency assessment, domestic-violence risk assessment, parenting-time recommendation, DOT SAP evaluation, psychiatric evaluation, or legal opinion.

Attorney consultation and expert witness services are separate professional services unless expressly included in the written scope. Whether Adam Krolicki is accepted or qualified as an expert witness in a particular proceeding is determined by the applicable court or tribunal.

Which evaluation should I choose for court or probation?
Many routine court and probation matters begin with the Standard Substance Use Evaluation. Higher-complexity matters involving extensive records, conflicting information, multiple parties, ongoing monitoring, collateral information, or broader legal context may require a Complex Legal Matter Evaluation.
How quickly can I get the written report?
Standard evaluations may have standard, Priority, and limited Same-Day / Next-Day report options. Availability depends on scheduling, clinical appropriateness, case complexity, and receipt of all information required for the evaluation.
Will the court or probation department accept the evaluation?
Acceptance is determined by the requesting court, probation department, attorney, agency, or other organization. Confirm any specific provider credential, report format, telehealth, form, deadline, or submission requirement before scheduling.
Can I complete the evaluation by telehealth?
Telehealth may be available when clinically appropriate and accepted by the requesting organization. If the referral source requires in-person completion or has specific documentation rules, those requirements control the scope.
