What our process is designed to do

Our evaluations are designed to help clients understand what is being assessed, what information may be relevant to their situation, and what documentation may be needed by the court, probation, an employer, a school, a licensing board, or another requesting party. We focus on providing a fair, structured, and professional evaluation experience from the first conversation through the final report. Our goal is not to overwhelm clients with clinical language or make the process harder than it needs to be. Our goal is to provide a professional evaluation that is clear, useful, and grounded in the information gathered during the appointment.

Who we commonly help

We commonly work with clients who need a drug and alcohol evaluation for:

  • court-related matters
  • probation requirements
  • school or university concerns
  • employment-related requests
  • professional or licensing issues
  • personal clarity or voluntary self-referral

What to expect during an evaluation

Most evaluations include a structured conversation about your background, current concerns, substance use history, relevant personal or legal context, and any documents or circumstances that may help explain why the evaluation is being requested. When appropriate, recognized screening tools may also be used to support the overall assessment process.

This process helps us understand the full picture rather than relying on one isolated detail. It also helps ensure the written report reflects the concerns, background, and context that matter most in your situation.

Important clarification

Every case is different. Requirements can vary depending on the court, probation officer, employer, school, licensing board, attorney, or other referring party. Our role is to provide a professional evaluation and written report based on the information gathered during the assessment process.

Clients should confirm any specific documentation requirements with the party requesting the evaluation. This helps avoid confusion and makes sure the right information is provided for the situation at hand.
